Hi lovelies, tonight I have a blog post that is probably going to make you all very jealous, so I apologise in advance! As you know I've mentioned a certain dip-dye maxi skirt by Coco's Fortune in many of my wishlist posts, but I never expected to win one of the Hallowe'en competitions on the Rare Facebook page and get it for free (eek!) It massively brightened up my week (and I'd been having a seriously bad one) so it was very well-received. I originally wanted the skirt in the black and flesh colour, but since it was out of stock I went for the black and oxblood which I'm actually incredibly happy with because it goes perfectly with my beautiful new flower crown from Crown and Glory!
These photos of me aren't the most flattering, but I had to share this skirt with you! I love the black and red ombre effect so much...
Since the new skirt is so beautiful on it's own, I decided to style it very simply with a black crop top, chelsea boots and my new flower headband which is the perfect colour for the skirt. Naturally, I went with a studded belt and a tangle of necklaces, too, because some things never change..!
Unfortunately there's not very many good headshots that show off my new headband in all it's (crown and) glory - sorry, couldn't resist - but I can assure you you'll be seeing a lot more of it! I love it to pieces and think it's perfect for me, subtle enough to wear casually at uni, which I did today, but I know it'll look great with dressier outfits too. I can see myself wearing this outfit with a big scarf, leather jacket and thick tights underneath for when things get even colder, too. Find it on Lookbook here:
Do you love my new skirt as much as I do?!
