So that you might save me.

Another Tuesday, another outfit post. This is what I wore yesterday - well, minus the hat actually (it was far too windy yesterday to wear a hat like this out without allowing time for detours chasing it as it blows down the road, narrowly avoiding traffic) but I borrowed it from my housemate for these pictures primarily to hide a rubbish hair day and partially because I'm in love with it and I want one of my own.

Hat - (borrowed)
Dress - Topshop
Necklace - Miss Selfridge (similar here)
High tops - River Island (similar here)

Anyway, this is one of those outfits that is all comfort and no imagination. I bought this dress back in January and somehow haven't taken pictures of it yet which is laughable because it has to be my most-worn item of the year so far. It is so comfortable and so easy to throw on. I layered a long top under the dress rather than putting a cardigan over it as although it's freezing I hate trying to layer jackets over bulky cardigans (and let's face it, I wear my faux-leather jacket over everything eleven-and-a-half months of the year.) I missed my hidden-wedge high tops so I dug those out - where they're padded they're actually really warm, too - and the usual mess of jewellery. The belt has gold/brass coloured studs mainly because I'm dying of boredom from constantly rotating the silver-stud ones (this came free with my check Missguided dress) and I think I just about get away with it since the rest of my jewellery isn't too silver. This was what I wore to uni (and also to H&M to abuse the 20% discount that they're doing this week - I'm bursting with excitement to share what I got with you, so stay tuned!) Find this outfit on Lookbook here...

What are your thoughts on this outfit? Have you got a lazy go-to item that you love? I know I'll be wearing this until it falls apart...
