Hello all, how are you all doing? I hope you're having a lovely long Easter weekend and spoiling yourselves rotten with hot cross buns and sweet treats. I've not had any Easter eggs yet, but maybe tomorrow I might indulge! Today I have another outfit post: potential going-out clothes for later, perhaps! I think it's going to be a late one so I need something pretty in case we run into the Easter Bunny on his rounds. You never know..!
Hair Rings - Regal Rose
Top - Topshop
Necklace - Gift
Skirt - River Island
Socks - Topshop
Shoes - Internacionale
The first thing I should probably say is that anyone who follows my Twitter is most likely aware that I've been putting my Easter holidays to good use (i.e. watching Game of Thrones whenever and wherever possible) and Daenerys Targaryen is definitely my new hair-spiration. I think I need some practise, of course - I'm too used to being okay with a more bohemian, messy look - but you have to start somewhere! I put in some of my Regal Rose hair rings but you can't really see them here - I'll have to try and incorporate them less subtly at some point soon! The rest of this outfit really just showcases my obsession with scalloped hem lace: in this crop top that has been kicking around the 'life saver' section of my wardrobe for a while, and this skirt that I couldn't resist for £10 in the River Island sale this week. The button detail and lace hem are just perfect, I've been eyeing it for a while and at that price I had to give in! It's longer and less flared than the skater skirts I own, so it will be great with bare legs in the summer. I finished the outfit with my creeper wedges (best going-out shoes ever!), some cute ankle socks and this sweet locket that my brother bought me for Christmas: perfect for a night out, except ideally in a less arctic climate. Have you any plans for the weekend? It's my friend's birthday today but I've woken up feeling less than fantastic - I'm not a big fan of my immune system lately - keep your fingers crossed that I perk up before long, I've been so looking forward to tonight...!
