I'm still into you.

Hey lovelies, we have reached what my housemate refers to as 'hump day' - that is, we are now past the middle day of the week (the hump) and slowly but surely getting towards the weekend! Today I wanted to share the outfit I've pretty much wanted to live in for the past week...

 Sweatshirt - Topshop
Flatforms - ASOS
So, this sweatshirt is one I picked up in the Topshop sale for £12 before student discount - I already have the 'geek' T-shirt and to be honest I know so many people have these that I wouldn't have jumped to buy another but it's so thick and comfortable and huge (it's from the tall section and the larger size option) I wanted this mainly to wear around the house. Except the next morning I woke up in a rush for a 9am lecture and ended up throwing this on and I think it's actually just about acceptable to wear outside if I dare say so myself! In the pictures I'm wearing it with tights but I've also been wearing it with rolled-up skinny jeans and black ballet flats (and of course a faux-leather jacket) - it's just so comfy I don't want to take it off. Find this outfit on Lookbook here...

It's not very often that I let my more tomboyish side take precendence on my blog - after all, this is the place where I like to ramble about pretty things where likeminded people won't judge me for being slightly obsessive - but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just as (if not more) comfortable in this kind of outfit over a dress and heels. There are two sides to my personality as well as my wardrobe which I suppose is how I can turn up to lectures in the grungiest combinations and go on nights out in my girlie (if still black) finest.

In other news, the title from this post is from Still Into You by Paramore - Hayley's a tomboy after my own heart even if she is dancing around in pink in the music video. Having listened to the new album I've made my verdict: though I've been a Paramore fan from the time of the big red sofa (yeah, I was there pretty early) the poppier vibe to this record, though different to their previous releases, is still great for a bit of light relief and is still full of the same punchy attitude you get from Riot! - so if you liked that, get involved in this.

  1. Lovely outfit :) I'm the same, I tend to wear really dressed down grungey stuff but feel I can't show it on the blog haha. And love Paramore's new song, I've been there from the start too! I freaking love them!! Tad dissapointed with new album, still good but no where near as good as their previous ones I think xx

    1. I was in two minds whether to post it but my housemate asked if I wanted to take outfit pictures and I kind of thought why not! It's honest, if not the best shining example of my personal style :) Hmm I think I prefer this album to Brand New Eyes actually xxx

    1. Hahah! I don't mind slogan shirts if it's just one word and I like the graphic appeal (font, etc) ... it's the guys wearing 'funny' slogan T-shirts that I can't stand. And don't even get me started on 'YOLO' - there's a tee by Feather Hearts that says 'Fuck You' that I want just to counteract people that wear those haha. It is pretty awesome being that comfortable though! xxx

    1. I dabbled in listening to Fall Out Boy in school when everyone else listened and I like them but I never actually owned an album of theirs. I think I will check out their new one though, if only for old time's sake! xxx

  4. I love Paramore and Haley's diverse style, I have heard great things about the album as well, that it plays homage to the Riot era, great sweatshirt to!

    1. Yeah, she looks pretty cool in this video (those stockings are so awesome) and I'd say it's closer to Riot than any other. It's more 'fun' than the others if that makes sense. Thanks! xxx

  5. I still really, really love those shoes... so pretty. Can't say I'm a fan of the 'nerd, geek, dweeb' trend, but it look so comfy! And I really need to check the new Paramore album out xx

    1. I love how they glow in the sun here haha! God bless velvet. Yeah, seemingly I'm a fan of a self-deprecating T-shirt but I relate to the nerd/geek thing and think it's kind of fun. 'Dweeb' for me is another story... what even is that word... really? Haha! Yeah, I think you'll like it! xxx

  6. I love Paramore, I'm not even ashamed to admit it even though my friends have always thought it a bit of a weird choice which I should have grown out of :( x

    1. Yeah they've done a bit of an Avril Lavigne and got LESS mature as they grow older (actually I swear a few artists have done that) but I like them because they're just fun and easy to listen to! xxx
