... call me when you're sober.

Hello lovelies, happy August, it is officially my birthday month and I'm getting quite excited! I'm currently enjoying a rare block of days off and catching up with some much needed time to myself (as well as catching up with some of the best and brightest who I feel I've been neglecting lately!) Last night I went out with my brother's girlfriend, and we ended up getting ready for the night out together which was strange as normally we aren't the girliest of folk so discussing opinions about eyeshadow colours and asking things like 'do you think I should wear a red lip?' was really bizarre - normally I just do my own thing so this was quite fun! I also had a new dress to wear - I've not been massively lusting over anything lately, hence the lack of wishlist posts, I've just not been feeling very inspired by much on the high street, but when I walked into Primark and saw a daisy dress I knew it was meant to be. So, without rambling on any more, voila, another outfit post...

 Dress - Primark
Boots - H&M
I did also pick up the daisy spiked bracelet in the Topshop sale - with the amount of daisies on my dress I thought adding in a few more couldn't hurt at this point! I also wore some tougher black accessories, socks and boots, to make the outfit feel a little less sweet and more to my taste. Find this outfit on Lookbook here...

I'll leave you with the song from the title of this post, because I'm having one of those phases where the Evanescence discography is all that I want to listen to. Amy Lee is a goddess to me. What are your current obsessions? And do you like the outfit - can you overdose on daisies?!

    1. Thanks so much! Yeah, do it - my Primark had SO many of them I was considering not buying it because literally everyone will have one, but it's so pretty I had to do it xxx

  3. Love the dress- it's very you! Oh, and the bracelets are gorgeous, too. I'm playing quite a lot of Evanescence right now, as well, and have been playing lots of Linkin Park and Fall Out Boy lately, too. xx

  4. Such an adorable dress and for once, it's a daisy print dress with actual daisies on (not white gerberas!) :).
Also do those socks actually stay up on their own? Or are they a garter job?

    1. As a flower novice I'm just gonna nod and smile as I most likely wouldn't immediately recognise the difference between the two anyway ;) The socks stay up fine for me - they're literally a Primarni 2 pack of black over knees, I've bought so many of them over the years it's actually ridiculous, but they're always amazing. Garter not required but they look cute as hell with one xxx

  6. ^____^ Cutie. I saw a little magazine article in work the other day about daisy prints and meant to photograph/tweet it for you! I love little thin cotton dresses like these and the fact that you never let anything get too pretty-pretty with a healthy dose of BIG BLACK STUFF.

I too have been thoroughly uninspired by anything in the shops at the moment, which is frustrating but also kind of exactly what is needed.

    1. Aw, sounds awesome! Would love to see it! Yeah I never like to be entirely, overly girlie - need a chunky shoe or spiked something to sort things out - I'm really pleased the shops aren't appealing massively at the moment though because I'm not doing too well financially! Although it's proving difficult trying to make a birthday list for next week! xxx
