Hi dolls, today I have an outfit post featuring some hazy Sunday-afternoon photos. These were taken last weekend in that warm lazy light that you only seem to get as the weekend starts to close its curtains. The downside is that every tiny flyaway is accentuated, but I do like that backlit effect so I thought I'd use these photos anyway; I hope you like them.
Top - H&M
Skirt - River Island (old)
Unicorn necklace - Hoobynoo World
I guess sometimes I wonder how I have the stones to write a fashion blog - let's face it, black skirt/black cardigan/boots isn't exactly groundbreaking territory - but my personal style is and never will be totally 'out there,' for me it's about the smaller details and the vibes that are created when certain items are put together. For me, quirky jewellery can do just that - Coco Chanel advised always removing one accessory before leaving the house, but for me an outfit is nullified if it's not accessorised. This unicorn necklace is the sweetest thing, and I love how it looks with the pattern of the bustier and contrasting tights. (You can get 10% off this necklace using the code 'BLOG10' too!) I felt unusually girlie, but I guess there's no problem with that every once in a while! Find this outfit on Lookbook here.
What is your opinion on accessories - would you say less is more?
