Hello all, welcome to the weekend! Today I have an outfit post lined up for you, including a dress with an awesome print and some beautiful jewellery. Enjoy...
Dress - Motel Rocks
Boots - Topshop
Necklace - Rings & Tings*
Nomination Bracelet - Joshua James Jewellery*
I already have another dress in this same sunflower print, but I was really taken with this Piper strappy dress. Even though Motel are the go-to brand for bodycon dresses, I've not bought one for years as anything bodycon tends to make me slightly self-conscious. However, I'm working on toning back up after months of sitting at my desk so hopefully in time I'll feel a bit more confident - in the meantime I've been throwing my oversized denim shirt over the top of it for strolling to the pub. And, as always, you can get 20% off any full-price Motel items using the code 'doodleheart' :)
Charm bracelets are really popular at the moment, and I'm a big fan of them: I love how they're so personal and can be individualised to tell a story. Nomination are an Italian brand and they have a different approach to the more common glass beads on a metal bracelet, instead their charms are separate links that can be added to a starter bracelet, and over time you create a bracelet entirely made up of individually chosen links. Joshua James have just launched an offer where, when you add 2 or more charms to your basket, you will get a 16-link base bracelet for free with your order. This is a great offer if you are looking to start collecting Nomination charms, and you can have a browse at the many, many different charms here. When I wore this last night I got lots of compliments on it, everybody loved the little swallow!
It felt wrong not to accessorise with my newest, tiny little bird necklace to complement the swallow on my Nomination bracelet.
I wore this outfit last night when we went out to celebrate the life of a friend who we had lost three years ago that day. We always gather somewhere local and have a drink in his honour, it's crazy how quickly those years pass and although it never gets easier it is comforting to know that we are all united in our love for him and to treasure his memory. I've not been feeling all that great for the past few days with wisdom teeth becoming the bane of my life, but I wasn't going to miss the opportunity to dress up and go out for an occasion that important. For me, jewellery always has it's sentimental meanings and I felt the heart and swallow charms were particularly accurate for such a poignant day. Find this outfit on Lookbook here...
Do you collect charm bracelets, and if so which brand is your favourite? Do you like these Nomination charms?
