Blogging is something I have enjoyed doing as a hobby for many years, but there are also ways in which I make an income from what I post here. I will always be 100% transparent when I am sharing work I have been paid for, and I will only post content I genuinely believe to be in keeping with my personal values and those of my audience. Here are some things to look out for:
Blog posts that I have been paid to write will be labelled Paid Partnership with _____ at the beginning of the post, with a link to my disclaimer page.
Affiliate links are a way I can share links to products I have featured here on my blog. It costs you nothing to click on them, but I will make a small amount of money if you do. I always have a disclaimer within my post if I am using affiliate links.
Gifted items are something I often share here - I always have a disclaimer within my post if products have been sent to me free of charge or bought using a collaborative discount. My opinions of gifted products will always be honest.
Social media posts will always have "ad" at the beginning of the caption on Instagram if I am being paid or promoting a gifted item. This is in accordance with ASA guidelines.
In addition to these things,
- I will only accept products from brands I am genuinely interested in and will use.
- I am passionate about sustainability. My passion within this blog is being able to promote and share companies with great attributes - cruelty free, vegan, small businesses, ethical and eco friendly businesses, black-owned businesses, women-owned/WAHM businesses, etc. First and foremost, I encourage responsible consumption - using what we have first before buying what we need, while supporting small/ethical businesses.
